Official Summary
NOT what we expected at all!!!! A huge pleasant surprise!!!! While Noa brings a different approach and technique to his class, his process is familiar to Soul Cycle riders. Noa’s class has limited choreography, a ton of hills, some quick sprints coupled with in depth self reflection. Noa is engaged with his riders during class, asking people trivia music questions to lighten the mood. He always ends the class with a huge dose of motivation and self reflection. This is a must take class and an instructor to have on your weekly schedule.
Pros
- A great work out
- Straight forward instructions
- Diverse music selection
- Fun and energetic crowd
Cons
- Tends to have a bright class with limited dimming of the lights.
- Popular classes and times book up fast

In his class, it isn’t SoulCycle, it’s NoaCycle. His endless self congratulatory banter, dubious interactions with women riders and his need to put down other classes to bolster a feeling of inclusion to his riders

Passive Aggressive "Rock Star"
I’ve stopping going to SoulCycle as this instructor has put me off from going. With things being the way they are nowadays, when I go to SS I like to wear a mask and pick a bike that has some distance from the other riders (if possible). I went to a class with the instructor Noa in Brooklyn and he kept asking all the riders to sit closer together (in a “pack”) to the point of harassment. Some people changed their bikes to sit next to each other like he demanded, but I didn’t want to and stayed on the bike I originally booked. I know his style is a community type ride but I’m not interested in that — I just want to work out and leave, not be made to feel bad for not “participating in togetherness”. He didn’t just ask once, he kept going on and on about it before and during class, and implied that people who didn’t want to ride in a pack were somehow lesser. I felt like I was being called out for not changing my seat and riding next to everyone in the front rows when I really prefer being in the back row socially distanced.
At the end of class he asks everyone to get close together and touch each other by placing a hand on each others shoulder for a group affirmation. I left without participating in that and he made it a point to call that out as I walked out the door. I did not appreciate being embarrassed in front of the class for something I did not want to participate in.
His tone can be passive aggressive sometimes — not helpful or wanted.
